RLM Korea Mission Trip (July 17 - Aug. 2, 2008)

Four different denominational leaders (Methodist, Holiness, Presbyterian and Full Gospel) representing eight different churches organized the fifth American-Korean Vision Camp and revival meetings from 18 July to 2 Aug. River of Life Ministries’ (RLM) American mission team of 12 came from Casper, WY; Washington, D.C.; Boardman, OH; and Virginia Beach, VA.

The American-Korean Vision Camp was held at Song Chu Youth Hostel which was located in a beautiful Korean mountain range. Over 250 young leaders from eight different churches attended the camp . During the first meeting on 28 July, Dr. Lee preached about “The Clay in the Potter’s Hand” (Jeremiah 18: 1-6). During the altar call, over two thirds of them responded to the Lord to receive His salvation, healing and deliverance . Also, Rev. Randy Raver and Rev. Bob Kelly preached powerful messages of repentance to young people.

By the grace of God, the RLM mission team was able to visit Kaesong City and Kaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea on 24 July for one day . Even though it was raining like cats and dogs, we prayed for the peaceful transition and reunification of Korea as we toured around Kaesong city.

RLM Guatemala Mission Trip (June 21-30, 2008)

Dr. & Mrs. Lee celebrated their 20th year of full time mission work while they were ministering in Guatemala from June 21-30 . In June 1988, Dr. Lee began his first mission project to assist Pastor Gregorio Otzoy to finish building the El Mesias Church and Christian School in Patzicia, Guatemala . Over the past 20 years, Dr. & Mrs. Lee supported El Mesias’ Child Sponsorship programs to provide education to poor Mayan children, established River Mission Training Centers to equip Mayan pastors who have been ministering to 14 unreached Mayan tribes in rural areas, and to establish indigenous churches throughout Guatemala.

To date, El Mesias Christian School has over 350 students from grades one to eight and the Church has over 300 members! The River Mission Training Center (RMTC) produced 28 graduates who have planted 14 indigenous churches among unreached Mayan people groups . On Wednesday, June 25, Dr. Lee ministered at El Mesias Church in Patzun. During the altar call, 20 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ and many received God’s divine healing. When Dr. Lee prayed for Mrs. Amalia, she experienced the fire of God going through her body and she was healed of diabetes and chest and urinary infections.

May 11 - 20 Trip to Ethiopia

By the divine hand of God, Dr. Lee has been able to establish Mission Training Centers in Ethiopia since 1994. To date, 30 indigenous churches have been planted by the graduates ! In 1998, one of the graduates under the supervision of Pastor Yemane Endale, the Director of Mission Training Centers, planted a new church in Mattu. When Dr. Lee visited the newly planted church in Mattu in 1998, they only had 30 members. Now the church has grown into over 350 members ! Dr. Lee went back to Mattu to conduct a three-day RLM Leadership Conference to strengthen the body of Christ in Mattu from May 11 to 20. It took two days to arrive in Ethiopia and took another two days by car to reach Mattu from Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. On the way to Mattu, Dr. Lee was saddened to discover that so many Islamic Mosques had been set up along the way. Since 1991, almost 70% of Ethiopians have become Muslim. Dr. Lee and six Ethiopian RLM team members arrived in Mattu on May 22. Physically, it was a very challenging mission trip. There was no electricity or running water at the Ethiopian hotel in Mattu. Dr. Lee lost five pounds during this trip. He ministered at the church that was meeting in a new building that can accommodate over 350 members. Also, he conducted a three-day RLM Leadership Conference at the former Communist Hall in Mattu. Over 400 people came to the conference on Friday and Saturday night and over 1,400 people came for the Sunday morning meeting on May 18 ! During the altar calls, over 400 people received God’s divine salvation, healing, deliverance and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
